A new blog for music fans: Loudcrowd

One of the consistent bits of overwhelmingly positive feedback about the closed Beta over at Loudcrowd has been the music. I've personally experienced this as well. I'm listening to a whole bunch of music I wasn't a few months ago because of LC (I guess that is a good sign for a product you are working on).

With that in mind, the crew has put together a music tumblelog that'll include interviews with musicians, posting new tracks, and in general keeping with the evolving music happenings at Loudcrowd. It's written primarily by our awesome DJ Fucci, but we'll all be chiming in from time to time. If you normally read things like Pitchfork, peruse Hype Machine, read gorillavsbear, or pay attention to the indie rock press you'll notice it's a bit of a different take from the mainstream and hopefully you'll hear some new music you love.

Check it out here:

hey guys - its a widget! you've been in beta for months now, aren't you being a little precious? release already. you're becoming a poster child for too much funding as a /b/ad thing.

I'm loving the loudcrowd music blog.

great tunes.

and thanks for using tumblr !

bijan, glad you are enjoying.

fanbois - Far from being vaporware, we've got a bunch of people in a Beta who seem to be enjoying themselves. We're just not talking to the press or allowing the random internet to join just yet. We're relying on friends inviting friends for growth of the product. This is not entirely different from the way Gmail was for quite some time, or the early days of Facebook where it was only open to certain schools.

Sometimes when I think of how awesome loudcrowd is my cranium explodes.Because,i'm in love with loudcrowd.

i'll be checking the link. I'm compiling some of the best disco/pop/club mixes for weeks now and i'm getting a lot of stuff from my friends at Ipod Download Music Core and some from imeem. Just heard DJ Fucci's name and it's new to me. So might as well listen to it tonight, though there's been few feedbacks about the tunes available at loudcrowd (both positive and negative), i'm thinking of choosing only the the best for my upcoming music compilation blog. Thanks for the info!
