And it wasn't even a new years resolution
Last night I'm playing my latest addiction, the Wii, and talking to my wife while she is checking email. I've been working and traveling a lot lately so I ask if it is bothering her that I'm playing. She says,
"No, it's good to see you exercising."
Which made me proud for Nintendo, and slightly embarrassed for myself.
PS - On yesterday's post, I had a friend email to suggest that if 2007 is not the year of the game, then it must be, as Newsweek says (and Fred, Greg and others) the Year of the Widget. This makes logical sense if you follow the last post. Widgets only accelerate the meaninglessness of measuring page impressions, which pushes towards monitoring time spent*uniques (which could be called Attention). And that, as mentioned, leads to a further rise in prominence for online games.
